About Me

Chinmay - Computational Physicist

I'm a theoretical and computational physicist (PhD from Princeton) with a decade of experience building mathematical models of complex systems from first principles. My career has spanned fundamental research in nanophotonics and quantum optics (Google Scholar), invention of new optical systems for IR cameras and augmented reality displays (patents), and leading R&D teams at the intersection of hardware and software.

Lately, I've been applying the same research rigor to the analysis of financial markets, independently building quantitative systems that combine machine learning, optimization, and systematic signal research. Along the way, I've also built projects in GPU-accelerated CFD solver for heat flow in data centers, computer vision applications, and AI video generation and physics realism. This website is dedicated to sharing these side projects.

I'm drawn to hard problems that sit at the intersection of physics, computational science, and real-world impact. When I'm not building, I'm usually spending time with my family and friends, cooking new recipes, or exploring new hobbies.
